Cottage Garden Threads

As of right now, we are only stocking a limited variety of Cottage Garden Threads.  However, we hope to carry more in the future.

Cottage Garden Threads (CGT) are hand dyed cotton floss imported from Australia. Using the finest quality long staple mercerized base thread, CGT provides a high sheen thread with a low knotting rate in addition to being color fast.  The ones that we stock are in 10 meter (10.9 yards) skeins.  They are pre-cut to length with the same color at each end.   This provides a seamless transition every time you finish a length and reload your needle.

 

Note for those new to hand over dyed floss: Many over dyed flosses are variegated.  These may be slight tone on tone variegation.  Due to this, you do not want to use a loop start.  You'll need to anchor the floss on the back of your project instead.  This will allow the colors to appear as designed.
